Cobalt play takes centre stage for Broken Hill

JUNIOR explorer Broken Hill Prospecting will continue investing in its namesake cobalt project in western New South Wales after a scoping study identified multiple low-cost options for development. The junior released the results of the scoping study to the market today, confirming that Broken Hill’s Railway, Pyrite Hill and Big Hill deposits could yield a valuable sulphuric acid by-product. The study, undertaken by engineering consultant GHD, assessed possible future development scenarios for the Thackaringa cobalt project.
