Drilling at the Railway cobalt prospect near Broken Hill has found thick, high-grade zones of cobaltiferous pyrite, according to Broken Hill Prospecting (BPL). About 3.85 pounds per tonne of cobalt were found 45m down and this was more than double the cobalt grade at the nearby Pyrite Hill and Big Hill cobalt deposits held by the company, it reported. BPL said the find was within a zone about 1.5 km long and up to 300m wide.
