Broken Hill Prospecting has encountered thick, high-grade zones of cobalt mineralisation at the Railway prospect in New South Wales. Standout average intervals included 14m at 2.42 pounds per tonne cobalt from 33m; 35m at 2.01lb/t cobalt in 57m; 18m at 5.08lb/t from 106m including 11m at 6.71lb/t cobalt; 15m at 2.92lb/t cobalt from 144m; and 45m of 3.85lb/t cobalt from 27m including 9m at 4.89lb/t cobalt. The company is planning a scoping study to investigate a 7.5 million tonne per annum open cut mine with production of pyrite concentrate containing about 7000t of cobalt.
