Drilling results have wide and high-grade intersections of cobalt at Offset and Railway prospects

19 April 2012

First drill results have wide and high-grade intersections of cobalt mineralisation at the Offset and Railway Prospects near Broken Hill

  •  9 RC drill holes of a 21-hole program have been completed.
  • Cobaltiferous pyrite mineralisation has been intersected in 8 of the new holes.
  • The extensive conductivity anomaly at the Railway Prospect, located 3.5 kilometres from Big Hill Deposit, clearly reflects underlying cobalt mineralisation and all six drill holes in this area have intersected zones of cobaltiferous pyrite.
  • Samples from the Railway Prospect drill hole include; 29 metres of 3.0 pounds per tonne cobalt in the top part of hole BER004.
  • Extensive zones of cobalt mineralisation were intersected 200 metres north of the Big Hill Deposit; 111 metres of 0.98 pounds per tonne cobalt in BER002.
  • A chargeability anomaly at the Offset Prospect is shown to be underlain by cobaltiferous pyrite mineralisation; 22 metres of 1.77 pounds per tonne cobalt in BER001.
