BPL share offering $4.47m to help prospects

7 February 2011

Base metal explorer Broken Hill Prospecting has raised $4.47 million in its initial public offering, ahead of listing next week. BPL had sought to raise up to $5 million, through the issue of 25 million 20c shares, to help fund development of its mining tenements at Thackaringa, near Broken Hill in NSW. “With this new funding, we will be able to more quickly assess the 13 base metals prospects outlined on our tenements and also complete a pre-feasibility study on our Pyrite Hill and Big Hill cobalt deposits,” BPL director Geoff Hill said.
